Easiest in the app: Settings → Account → „Delete account". That deletes straight away and does not need this page.
Without the app: sign in in the browser with your Google account — My area has “Delete account”. You need no code for that.
If you have a deletion code, it works here too. The app shows it under Settings → Account. It is valid for 30 minutes.
We cancel a running Google Play subscription for you when deleting — nothing more is charged after that. If cancelling fails, this page says so after deleting, and you cancel it in Google Play yourself. Refunds go through Google Play.
What is on your device — recipes, lists, settings — is yours and is not touched from here. The app clears that itself under Settings → Reset.
The database is backed up regularly; at most 14 copies are kept — the latest of each day. Your details may therefore sit in an older backup for about two weeks, until it is overwritten in turn. Nothing is analysed from the backups — they exist only for recovery. Details in the Privacy policy.
If you started the free trial within the last 12 months or bought your first subscription within the last 12 months, a trial check value remains: a string we compute from your Google identifier with a secret key, which cannot be worked back into the identifier, and the day until which it applies. No identifier, no account, nothing else. If you sign in again with the same Google account before then, no new trial starts. It is deleted 12 months after the trial began and, if you bought a subscription, 12 months after your first purchase — the later of the two days applies. If neither the app nor signing in gets you there, write to us; the contact address is in the Play Store listing and in the Privacy policy. We then delete by hand, once it is clear which account is meant.
